I grew up on the East coast and moved to Southern California from Raleigh, North Carolina at the start of my senior year in high school. Swam competitively, still do. Love coffee, rainy days, and watching movies. The Shawshank Redemption is probably my favorite movie. While I’ve never owned a horse or lived on a farm, I’m a cowboy at heart. Don’t know why. Unless I’m shooting a formal event you’ll find me wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and flip-flops. My wife likes to call it my uniform. I just call it comfortable!

I absoutely love photography! In 1992 I received a BFA in Photography. I truly believe that as a photographer I see the world differently. What I love about photography is that it allows me to share that vision with others.

My self-described style is photojournalistic and editorial in nature. It’s simple, clean, energetic, and candid. I love to shoot on location. My focus is on capturing images that communicate true personality and raw emotions. I like to be the fly-on-the-wall, as much as possible. I’ll pose some shots when needed, but for the most part I want people to be themselves and they can’t do that if I’m telling them what to do.

I’m located in Orange County, CA near Mission Viejo in Ladera Ranch where I live with my beautiful wife Monica and my 3 great kids. It’s great being a photographer in Orange County because of the great weather and endless locations to shoot.
